FOUNDER - LEAD CULINARY HOME ECONOMIST
Jack Williams has been working as a consultant home economist for over 20 years for a variety of high-end appliance manufacturers, writing recipes, styling food for photography and working alongside some of the country’s most loved celebrity chefs on cooking shows. Jack also gets involved with cookery demonstrations for appliance and houseware companies including the shopping channels. Prior to working on a freelance basis Jack was working for Australian Masterchef and prior to that Disney World, Florida.
What is a Home Economist
I’m sure that there are lots of people out there who haven’t heard the term Home Economist. You may have wondered who it is that produces recipes in magazines and cookery books, prepares the food for cooking shows on TV, styles food for photographs, tests kitchen equipment and writes the detailed instructions for cookers and other household appliances.
The role of the Home Economist is very diverse, and is usually someone who has completed a degree in Home Economics or Consumer Science and has a lot of experience working within the food and retail/manufacturing industry.
